Who is Susan Packard?

Susan Packard life & education
Susan was born in Detroit (Michigan). She attended Michigan State University where she graduated with an undergraduate advertising. In 1979, Susan Packard also graduated with an advertising masters degree from the same university (Michigan State University). At the University of Virginia, she completed a schedule known as executive program a moment later.

Susan Packard experience and achievements
In 1980, Susan started in the Television Cable business in the HBO sales division. She eventually became a regional manager where she was in charge of distribution of HBO to various cable operators. At the beginning 1988, Susan started working for NBC to help in launching network’s cable properties. At the start-up CNBC team, she acted as the vice president of the national accounts and affiliate relations. As stated above, in 1994 Packard help to co-found HGTV where she worked as the executive (chief) operating officer until the year 2000. In this year and subsequent years, she co-founded the Scripp’s Networks, Fine Living Network and DIY Network. In this entities, she acted as president in various divisions. It is for this achievements and much more that Packard was in 2008 admitted into CableFame Hall.Also, she has received awards such as YWCA Award, Scripps Award for Distinguished Community Service and The Woman in Cable year award.

In 2015, Susan Packard authored the book mentioned above (New (modern) Rules of the Game: 10 Workplace strategies for women) which put emphasis on cultivating creativity, optimism, teamwork, focus and competitiveness. In her book, she talks about various business people who have successfully maneuvered through various competitive situations. This book is very critical specifically for leaders and business individuals and groups.
